Indoor Ice Skating Rinks
This sports facility hosts skating lessons for people of all ages and abilities, private parties, and special event skates throughout the public sessions.
91 Fairview Park Dr
Owned and operated by the Town of Mamaroneck, Hommocks Park offers a community room and the Slap Shot Café, which features a kid-friendly menu. During the summer, the ice rink is converted to a sport court for the Summer Playground Day Camp and soccer camp.

A former Best of Westchester award winner, this rink hosts both roller and ice hockey, as well as open skate and party services.
348 Tuckahoe Rd
Open from mid-October through late-March, this rink hosts youth travel hockey teams and a variety of skating lessons.

Rye Playland isn’t just a summer attraction—it features three ice rinks, holds public sessions 7 days a week, and hosts skating clinics and camps.

The prep school’s ice rink is open year-round to the public, and boasts some of the lowest prices for skating lessons in the area.

In addition to public skating and year-round skating lessons, Ice Hutch also offers the Home Run City batting cages.

Outdoor Ice Skating Rinks
This park, whose name means “opossum,” not only offers outdoor winter sports including free ice skating, it is the site of significant Native American artifact discoveries.
1 Wampus Lake Drive
In addition to outdoor ice skating seven days a week (weather permitting), Blue Mountain state park also offers challenging hiking trails, skiing, picnic spaces, and plenty of space to camp.
Blue Mountain Reservation
Exclusively available to Westchester residents, the first large-scale recreation project in the county offers ice skating and sledding when weather conditions are right.

Lake Mohansic and Crom Pond both have daily ice skating to a “winter wonderland backdrop.”

The sprawling Rockland County mall may not be for everyone, but the ice skating facilities on the fourth floor are well maintained with reasonable rates. They also offer professional skate sharpening.

This outdoor rink is worth the trip to the other side of the river; located by the historical Bear Mountain Inn and state park, there are plenty of hiking trails, basketball courts, and picnic tables to make a day of it. Bear Mountain is also a stone’s throw from Harriman State Park.

Located in downtown Poughkeepsie, the McCann ice arena is a great spot to go if you have downtime before an event at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center or want to bring the kids out.
