Encompassing 4,315 acres this reservation is Westchester County's largest park. Opened in 1938, Pound Ridge developed its trails after acquiring more than 30 farms.
Let's face it: if it was easy to get lost at the Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, and not in a good lose yourself in nature kind of way. Yet a core group of volunteers has taken it upon themselves to reblaze all 35 miles of trails, complete with new marking and a beautiful map (one that actually makes sense). New loops have been added, too. Round up your most daring friends and brave the one that takes you past Leatherman's cave.
