This paved bicycle path runs through the lands of the former Putnam Division of the New York Central Railroad. The trailway spans 22.1 miles in Westchester County from Eastview to Somers and continues northward into Putnam County for an additional 7.5 miles as the Putnam Trailway.
Let's see. There's the 22 gently sloping miles of serene trails that wind their way through the tranquil wooded hills of Northern Westchester. There's also the well marked, paved path that follows the route for the old Putnam Railroad. And there are the drop dead gorgeous views (care for the vistas of the magnificent Croton Reservoir?) So what excuse can you come up with for not getting on your bike now? Don't forget your helmet.
