Newburgh Brewing Company: Local Ingredients and Live Music

Craft beer made, literally, from the area

Newburgh Brewing Company
(50.4 miles from White Plains)

Brewmaster Christopher Basso opened Newburgh after his six-year stint under Garrett Oliver at Brooklyn Brewery. Look for 21 craft beers brewed in a 160-year-old, four-story building that also offers live music and a tasting room with a menu that features locally sourced ingredients often cooked with Newburgh beer. When it’s in season, don’t miss Newburgh’s grassy, wet-hopped (see Beer Geek Speak) Harvest Ale made with locally sourced hops from Menditto and Madura farms.
