Hoping to cash in on the hot consignment shopping trend, mom of two, Rose Fiorillo, opened this cozy shop after being laid-off as a corporate accountant. Devoted to gently-used kids clothing sizes 0 to 12 as well as footwear, equipment, bedding, toys, and books, you’ll find lots of barely worn merchandise—some with price tags still on them. Represented are such popular brands as Ralph Lauren, Hannah Anderson, Jamie and Jack, Gymboree, and The Gap. And at about one-third of original retail prices, prices are very reasonable. Fiorillo welcomes consignors as well as browsers. ‘It’s a win-win situation both for the person who is buying something and the person who no longer needs it,’ she says. ‘Plus, it’s good for the environment.’ While most items are on consignment, Fiorillo pays cash on the spot for like-new condition books and toys in original packaging. And bring the kiddies—the shop has a well-stocked kids play area.
