The owners of Puerto Rican restaurant Sofrito in TriBeCa have opened this sister restaurant in the center of White Plains. Savory shredded beef over mashed green plantains, roasted pork shoulder with pigeon peas and rice; and red snapper stuffed with seafood are among big-portioned main dishes. A $45/pp four-course prix fixe includes a family style-appetizer platter, soup or salad, choice of five entrées, and an assorted dessert tray. For dessert: empanaditas guyabas (guava paste-filled dumplings). Open for dinner-only every day (kitchen closes at 2 am on weekends).
