Dine on grilled black sea bass, North Carolina swordfish, lobster rolls, and tuna burgers at this seafood restaurant located in the 1775 landmark Joseph Purdy house (formerly home to John Michael's and before that, Purdy's Homestead). The executive chef is Michael Kaphan, formerly of Strata in Manhattan, and the owner is Ed Taylor of fish wholesale business Down East Seafood at Fulton Fish Market in the Bronx, and Fish, a restaurant in Greenwich Village. Purdy's Farmer & The Fish is open seven nights a week and baked goods/coffee in the morning as well as weekend brunch are planned. Reservations are not accepted.
