Situated in the Mill Pond Shopping Center is this “New Age” French-Japanese restaurant serving artfully presented dishes, including Japanese Wagyu beef, sea bass in a black bean sauce; broiled lobster in a Champagne butter sauce; and crispy duck with orange soy glaze. Lunch Mon through Fri; dinner Mon through Sun. Five- and seven-course tasting menus available.
Best Over the County Line Restaurant 2006. Other restaurants have failed here, but we're confident this one will break that curse. The fare at Nuage is a marriage of French and Japanese cuisine (duck foie gras comes pan-seared in a teriyaki glaze, steak tartar is accompanied by sesame soy, Japanese turnip and caviar) and is worth a county border crossing. You'll never find Nuage on any cheap eats list (dinner entrées are $22 and up), but with artfully presented dishes both sophisticated and scrumptious, it's worth every dollar.
