Best Greek Restaurant 2006
Best Greek 2006. Talk about a family affair! There are Kringas everywhere in this truly friendly, family operation that dishes out healthy portions of souvlaki, pastitsio, baklava, and other Greek delicacies and treats you like one of the extended clan. Order the saganaki, a spectacular plate of sheep's-milk cheese that is alighted with brandy and doused with lemon right at your table. Opa!
Best Grilled Octopus 2007. The relatively quick, relatively cheap Niko's is a go-to spot for tasty, casual, unpretentious dining. Nearly half of its menu is made up of small plates, and one of its best is the octopus char-grilled and dressed with olive oil and red wine vinegar. Don't let the tentacle thing turn you off. A glass of sweet anise-flavored ouzo, some warm pita, and it's a meal worthy of Mount Olympus.
