Best New Certified Green Restaurant (2009)

Owner Casey Egan is thrilled to have received Emma’s Green Certification from the Green Restaurant Association; the recognition is well deserved. After all, at Emma’s, even the bathroom hand dryers are efficient—drying hands in less than seven seconds. More green eco-friendly elements are planned, including biodegradable “to go” trays. And if you couldn’t care less about Emma’s green ethics, know that there’s some really fine grub here, including house-made barbecue potato chips, Philly cheesesteak sliders, and pepper-crusted pork chops.
