Jeremy McMillan, formerly chef de cuisine at A Voce Columbus in Manhattan, is the chef overseeing the farmhouse cuisine at this Richard Gere-owned, 110-seat formal restaurant (The Farmhouse) and 50-seat bakery/café (The Barn). Primarily serving seasonal foods from small family farms, expect entrées such as a trio of Berkshire pork, wild striped bass saltimbocca, and hand-rolled garganelli. The Farmhouse is open Wed to Sat for dinner and Sun for dinner; The Barn is open Mon to Fri for breakfast and lunch and Sat and Sun for brunch. The bakery is open seven days a week, and for casual dinner on Monday's and Tuesday's. Reservations required for The Farmhouse.

Twist on a Classic-Pancakes 2013
Best Appetizer (2012)
Chef Jeremy McMillan’s take on the classic Caprese swaps out tomatoes for orchard-fragrant plums (or beets, depending on the season). The result counters the dairy deliciousness of melting, barely cohesive mozzarella with a touch of mouthwatering acid.
Best Yoga Center (2012)
The ancient mystics say serenity is hard to find, but clearly they haven’t seen the Yoga Loft at Bedford Post, an extraordinary, architecturally stunning space filled with light, peace, and—dare we say?—bliss. Choose from such classes as Gentle Flow & Restorative, vigorous Vinyasa, and Candlelight Flow. On the fence? New students pay just $50 for two weeks of unlimited yoga.
