Housed in a former 1800s residence featuring original wood floors, this new home shop has an mélange of vintage and contemporary furnishings and those well-designed accessories that add panache into interior spaces. “We highlight pieces that have a clean, contemporary look,” says owner Michael Kalesti. “There is not a lot of mass produced inventory,” he adds, “as we buy from small vendors and the vintage is mostly one-of-a-kind.” Vintage offerings, including small tables, cool lamps, and mid-century lounge chairs, are interspersed with newer accents like trays and picture frames. Of note are the hostess gift options, including a Japanese line of 100 percent cotton pot holders and kitchen towels dyed with natural fruit and vegetable resins; glassware by iittala and Simri laminated cloth trays and napkins. Kalesti also offers restoration services, specializing in wood and mid-century tables.
