J. Pocker & Son's clients visit its shops (there are five including the Bronxville store, one being to the trade only and located in the D & D Building) seeking advice on period frames for their oils and handmade French mats for their watercolors. (Clients with more contemporary collections find great picks in polished wood or burnished steel float frames.) If you don't have any cherished art to frame (finally tossing those Van Gogh posters, eh?) J. Pocker & Son's art gallery stocks selections of every category: botanical prints, classical subjects, tropical and seashell prints, urns and architecture, and more.
Best Framers (2012)
One arty colleague was visibly swooning after a visit to this charming shop: “It is unbelievable,” she says. “It’s difficult to find good frames, but JPocker had a vast variety of styles to choose from. And the quality! Even the antique reproductions looked real.” Plus, the staff has a good eye for matching the frame with the art. All you have to do is tell them the feeling you want to evoke, and they’ll come up with a perfect match. If only life were this easy.
