Bilotta believes that you wouldnt buy a new car without test-driving it, so why would you undertake a high-end kitchen redo without checking out the goods? With five showrooms filled to the brim with kitchen displays (including a working one at MacMenamins Grill in New Rochelle, where cooking classes are held), you can put the gears in spin. Setting the benchmark is a family matter at the company, where second-generation co-owners Regina, Jim, and Maria Bilotta, who learned about the custom cabinetry business by working in their fathers mill shop, are adamant about high-end design and quality. This is apparent in the companys cabinetry, from the most traditional (Rutt, Wood-Mode, and its own Bilotta Collection) to the ultra-contemporary SieMatic and Artcraft. Perhaps that's why Bilotta's reputation has spread far beyond the tri-state area, and the company's kitchens can be found in places as far-flung as Bermuda and Spain (and in kitchens used by clients such as Emeril Lagasse).
