Dr. Howard J. Luks, a board-certified sports medicine orthopedic surgeon in Westchester and Dutchess counties, is Chief of Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy at Westchester Medical Center. In addition, he is Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at New York Medical College.
Dr. Luks focuses on orthopedic sports medicine and surgery, with areas of interest including arthroscopic surgery; minimally invasive surgery; knee and shoulder reconstruction and replacement surgery; computer-navigated surgery; meniscus repairs; and elbow, ankle and cartilage regeneration or replacement.
Dr. Luks has been named as one of the top sports medicine physicians in the United States by US News and World Report. In addition, he is an advisory board member of the Mayo Clinic Center for Social Media.
He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1991 from New York Medical College, after earning a master’s of science degree from the school’s Graduate School of Basic Medical Sciences. He also earned a chemistry degree from Muhlenberg College in 1985. He is affiliated with the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the Medical Society of the State of New York and the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education.
