Dr. Julio A. Panza, MD, FACC, oversees all aspects of cardiology services at Westchester Medical Center Health Network hospitals. He also is professor of medicine and endowed chair of cardiology at New York Medical College.

Dr. Panza specializes in cardiovascular disease and is interested in adult cardiology, atherosclerosis, cardiology, cardiovascular disease, coronary artery disease, echocardiography, endothelial dysfunction and ischemic heart disease.

His extensive credentials include appointments as director of the Division of Cardiology at Washington Hospital Center, director of the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program at Georgetown University Hospital-Washington Hospital Center and professor of medicine (cardiology) at Georgetown University.

A graduate of the School of Medical Sciences at the National University of Rosario, Argentina, Dr. Panza completed his residency in internal medicine and cardiology at the Italian Hospital in Buenos Aires. He held a clinical research fellowship in the Cardiology Branch of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute in Bethesda, MD.

Dr. Panza is certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association, and a member of the American Society of Echocardiography and the Association of Specialty Professors.
