Leon Su, DDS, MDS, believes being a proficient orthodontist requires great skill, but being a great orthodontist requires heart. As Dr. Su explains, “Beyond being a skilled clinician, it’s important to treat patients with sincerity. If you don’t genuinely care about your patients, it will show in your work.”
That philosophy is at the core of Dr. Su’s approach to Orthodontics. Following undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley, he pursued dentistry at NYU, graduating among the top of his class and as a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, then focused on his orthodontic specialty training at Rutgers University. Being one of the area’s few board-certified orthodontists, he emphasizes aspects beyond straightening teeth, noting, “I have to consider how the face, teeth, and jaws of my young patients will develop and do a little future planning.” Besides Dr. Su’s professionalism and passion in Orthodontics, he also brings a relaxed office atmosphere that he attributes to his California upbringing.
