Dr. Chandra is board certified in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism. She attended Georgetown University in Washington D.C. for both undergraduate and medical school. After completing her residency at Beth Israel Deaconess in Boston, she finished her fellowship at Mount Sinai in New York City. Dr. Chandra taught students, residents, and fellows, at both Mount Sinai and Hackensack University Medical Centers.
She specializes in performing ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration biopsies of thyroid nodules and is up-to-date on the latest continuous glucose monitor and insulin pump technologies. She treats an array of Endocrine disorders, including type I & type II diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, adrenal disorders, hypogonadism, polycystic ovary syndrome, pituitary disease, and obesity.
Dr. Chandra is an active member of both The Endocrine Society and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. She enjoys traveling around the world and has been to more than 25 countries. She also loves to watch and play a variety of sports and is a die-hard Washington Redskins fan.
