Cocoa chocolate shop owner Angela Ingrao has opened this chocolate bakery and café across the street. There’s chocolate bread, chocolate croissants, homemade Mallomars, savory tarts, and made-to-order Belgian waffles ($4.25) from a cast-iron Belgian waffle maker. Don’t expect the overly sweet, cratered blocks found at IHOP or Denny’s but instead a mild tasting and crispy textured golden cake. Toppings include powdered sugar and/or one of four sauces: chocolate, raspberry, caramel, and maple syrup.
