Chocolatier and Belgium native Martine Coscia is proprietor of this confectionery that offers such specialties as “critters,” chocolate clusters of fruit and nuts including raisin walnut and coconut macadamia ($8.99/5 oz), biscottini, miniature biscotti available in flavors such as hazelnut and lemon ($5.99/5.5 oz bag), and chocolate barks ($7.99/5 oz).
The chalkboard menu displays all of her desserts, with each name written in Dutch, French, and English. Coscia also sells locally roasted coffees and rich hot cocoas made with whole milk. Her chocolate-making acumen comes from courses at the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City and at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York.
For two years, Coscia’s business functioned out of her Greenwich home, selling to farmers’ markets, wholesale clients, and special events such as weddings.
The four-hundred square foot shop is open Monday to Thursday, 9:30 am-4:30 pm, and Friday and Saturday, 9:30 am-8 pm.
