The delicious goodies from Sara Leand’s Sara Snacker Cookie Company are not treats your bake-happy grandma would recognize.
Her signature is the Chipn’etzel ($15 for 18 cookies), a shortbread-based sweet and salty cookie made with pretzel and potato chip bits. There’s also the CandyPop Cookie containing lollipop bits and topped with a gumball, and the T.Wookie, an oatmeal cookie with white chocolate chips and a salted top. Buttery animal crackers, a lemonade cookie, and one that tastes like a vanilla malted are also offered.
Aside from cookies, Leand also makes apple hand-pies and her homemade version of Tootsie Rolls.
Her preservative free, trans-fat free products are sold at gourmet grocery stores in Manhattan (i.e., Zabar’s) plus the following county stores:
Chappaqua Village Market, D’Agostino in Rye Brook, Daisy Hill Farm in Mount Kisco, Geordane’s in Irvington, Rye Country Store, and Tarrytown Gourmet.
