With 52 flavors of homemade ice cream, including low-fat and fat-free varieties, Longford’s Own-Made Ice Cream is homage to the “good old ice cream days.” Produced in a Port Chester facility, and with a second retail location in Rye, coffee chip, blackberry, mud pie, pistachio, and moose tracks are popular flavors. Birthday parties are also available, offering such activities as face paining, tattooing, Grand Prix racing, craft making, and of course, sundae scooping ($25/child).

Kids and ice cream. They go together like, well, kids and ice cream! Add “grand prixe” car racing, pizza, crafts, face painting, and you have the makings of a perfect party. Plus, this isn’t just any ice cream—it’s Longford’s own lush, creamy, ultra-smooth ice cream. And party kids get to go behind the counter, scoop their own ice cream, and add their own colorful toppings. With all that sugar, though, you may want to skip the juice.
