Husband and wife Maarten and Frances Steenman met in 1990 while employed at a small bakery in Mount Kisco. The duo has always shared a similar philosophy: to use only the freshest, highest-quality ingredients and finish each dessert with a simple yet stunning design. Maarten, a Dutch-born baker, has experience with several patisseries in Europe including Holland, France, Belgium, and Norway. Specialty cakes and tarts include the apple tarte tatin, cherry tart, and the Westchester Magazine pick for best chocolate cake in the county, the chocolate extreme. The gelato (pistachio especially) is also somethig not to be missed.
