When it's time for lunch on the village green, this gourmet shop located in the Arcade Building is the perfect place to pick up a sandwich (ham, Brie, Champagne mustard on black bread, turkey with cranberry mayonnaise on eight-grain bread), Callebaut Belgian chocolate brownies, and various fruit salads. Owner Mona Spilo also offers breads brought in from Manhattan, such as Eli's multi-grain and Amy's Breads potato-dill loaf (weekends only). Spilo is also known for her made-to-order gift baskets, which can be filled with olive oils, balsamic vinegars, dried salamis, ceramic crocks of cheese, Lake Champlain chocolates, specialty crackers, Carolyns Gourmet pecans, and specialty teas. The shelves are filled with sweets. A one-pound tin of red and black licorice piglets is $12.95 and will last you a month. Tate's butterscotch pecan cookies, stacked in crisp cellophane, are $5.95 a dozen. Petit fours iced with ribbons and daisies are $2.50 each.
