Sure, now everyone is yakking about green this and green that, but Westchester is home to a festival that cared about Mother Earth before it became cool to do so. The Clearwater Festival: The Great Hudson River REvival, founded by musician Pete Seeger, landed at Croton Point Park way back in 1978, making it the oldest festival of its kind. It is also the largest. Cool, right? This past June, attendees were treated to music by artists such as the Felice Brothers and David Amram, storytelling performances, shopping opportunities, a "Green Living" expo, and-of course-rides on the majestic Sloop Clearwater. Bring Dad next June-it takes place during Father's Day weekend.
