Cos Cob, Connecticut was home to the nation's first impressionist art colony, and today the Historical Society of the Town of Greenwich is dedicated to preserving the area's history and artistic tradition. Most of its programs take place at the Bush-Holley House, which was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1991 by the National Park Service. The organization has also restored and maintained other historic buildings and gardens in the area.
