The homeowner of this Greek Revival wanted to convert the existing covered porch into a casual yet refined bar and lounge. The design was inspired by grand hotel bars and 1920s speak-easies and features a wood-paneled bar with brass rails and copper countertops with lounge seating flanking each side under new windows. A coffered ceiling and pilasters establish an intimate scale.

What was a smaller butler’s pantry and closet were combined to create a large butler’s pantry, which was part of a full-home renovation. The designer used a glossy blue finish for the cabinets and glass tile for the backsplash. Nickel hardware and a nickel faucet add a bit of glamour.
