Chappaqua The entire interior of this 1995 colonial was remodeled to meet the needs of the new owner and their young family. The clients were inspired by contemporary farm houses so Scott Hirshson sought to adjust the details of the images they brought to fit the more formal center hall colonial they had purchased. The scope included a renovated kitchen, a new mudroom, a new family room, a renovated master suite, conversion of a bonus room to a boy’s bedroom, and replacing the laundry room with a new children’s bath.

Chappaqua This project touched every part of the existing 1990s home both inside and out. Scott Hirshson started by spending a great deal of time in the owner’s previous home discussing existing furniture and spaces to determine what worked and what did not meet the family’s needs. The client, who had worked for Jonathan Adler, had an eclectic collection of furniture and accessories to balance the architecture of the great room. The kitchen design started with the LaCornue range and quickly spread from that point. The renovation sought to honor the massing of the original house while updating the architecture with more contemporary materials and details.

New Rochelle “Tranquility, functionality, and comfort were the qualities I wanted to define my renovation project,” says designer Maria LoIacono. The palette is streamlined with soft colors that shifts hues with the changing light. The final result is a harmonious composition of simplicity and elegance that is perfect for group entertaining or as a personal retreat.

Scarsdale This 11,000 sq ft new construction Georgian Colonial sits on two acres of land and also includes a pool and tennis court on site. The home has classic architectural details which offer a beautiful, neutral colored, classic backdrop for the modern furnishings and vibrant, modern art. Each room has custom furniture with rich artwork, which was an integral part of the design. Close attention was also paid to the light fixtures, which are their own form of artwork.
