What Are The New Neutrals?

The idea of netural is now being redefined, here are the colors you should be seeking.

Chances are, when you hear the term “neutral” regarding interior design, you think of a beige room without a strong point of view. That idea of neutrals is now being redefined. Soothing hues like beige are still part of the equation, but the approach now is to layer them with other colors to add interest and contrast.

So what are the new neutrals? Think navy and cream; shades of gray with touches of lavender, ivory, ecru, and silver with wood tones; or taupe accented with gray and blush. What makes designing with neutrals exciting—and accessible—is the broad range of products on the market. If you want to add a pop of color, such as mustard yellow or soft coral, go ahead. The key is not to go overboard.
