LIGHT FANTASTIC

Yes, that’s a floor lamp and, yes, it’s another marvel brought to the market by award-winning Irish designer Ray Power, whose experiments with lightweight wood veneers keep us in awe. The Link floor lamp, manufactured by LZF of Spain, is made of spiraling swaths of veneer mounted on a steel tripod. Awesome. ➤ $2,114 at Patdo Light Studio in Port Cheste

HEAVENLY TIME

What do you expect from one of the founders of Modernism? George Nelson’s whimsical walk clock looks like, as one website describes, “wood planets dancing around a metallic sun.” The Kirch Implosion Wall Clock has a steel clock core attached to curved wheel spokes with colorful wood ball ends. (The balls also can be monochromatic walnut.) The hands? Metallic, of course ➤ $39.99 at kirch.com

THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS

Award-winning industrial designer Karim Rashid, who gave us the funky Garbo Can and the Oh Chair for Umbra (and whose house in Westchester is up for sale, with or without his super-cool furniture) gives us this hip Links mirror. One is neat on its own but string a few together and, well, its funky wall art. Karim Rashid Links mirror ➤ $239 at Eva Decorating in White Plains

LIGHT ON TIME

This adorable and elegant (it’s a Tiffany, after all) travel alarm can help keep time while traveling light. Only 1.5 inches high, the rhodium, Swiss-made clock is protected by leather slide covers in your choice of pink (shown), brown, or black. ➤ $400 at Tiffany & Co. in White Plains,
