Westchester Fall Arts Preview 2012

How to fill your social calendar with three months’ worth of the county’s best cultural offerings

Instead of luring us out to communal beaches, bars, or parks, the heat of this summer had the opposite effect, driving us into air-conditioned isolation. This autumn, as the temperatures start to cool, it’s time to head back out again. Lucky for us, the county offers plenty of reasons to do so for those looking for culture and camaraderie. We scoured the schedules and parsed the programs to bring you the best of the upcoming season—including art shows, exhibitions, performances, books, television shows, and movies. After all, you’re going to need something to talk about with those neighbors you haven’t seen since spring.
