A Little Peace: Bedford Corners Resident Teresa Saputo's Fine Jewelry Collection

Bedford Corners resident Teresa Saputo fell hard for jewelry early on. “I was pretty much taken with it after getting my ears pierced in the fourth grade,” she says. So when the company she worked for was sold while she was on maternity leave in 2005, the Columbia Business School grad thought the time was right to find a way to combine her marketing acumen with her longtime love of jewelry. Saputo’s A Little Peace collection offers affordable fine jewelry—she makes earrings, necklaces, rings, and bracelets—in either sterling silver or 10-karat gold, with all pieces burnished to a subtle matte finish. Singers/actresses Patti LuPone and Chynna Phillips own some of her pieces, and Saputo is working on an exclusive necklace for the latter’s group, Wilson Phillips, to be sold at their concerts and on their website. Prices range from $35 to $500, with 10 percent of profits donated to public-education charities; available at Beehive Co-op in Mount Kisco, Aurora in Chappaqua, and kd studio in Katonah, among others.
