When Phelps first opened its doors in 1955, the hospital was located in a single 5-story building, so it was relatively easy for patients and visitors to find their way around.

Since then, the hospital has expanded greatly, with a much-enlarged emergency department, two additional medical office buildings and a parking garage.

For many people, coming to a hospital can be an anxiety-producing experience, and the last thing they need is to feel lost once they arrive. To help alleviate some of this anxiety, Phelps has produced a detailed map of the campus, with separate maps for the main hospital building as well as for each of the medical office buildings. An aerial view of the campus helps visitors determine which parking lot is closest to their ultimate destination. The maps are available at the main information desk and throughout the hospital.
