Chronic Cough Screening
People often have a chronic cough despite numerous doctor visits, medications, and diagnostic tests. Coughing associated with throat clearing, voice changes, trouble swallowing, nighttime cough, and vocal spasms may be caused by chronic laryngopharyngeal reflux disease. Alternatively, some people feel a frequent tickle in the throat that precedes a cough, or a dry spot or dryness in the throat, which may be caused by irritation of a nerve. Screenings for these types of coughs will be offered.
