For All the Boys and Girls

More than 350 supporters attended the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northern Westchester’s 15th annual Humanitarian Awards Dinner held at the Westchester Marriott in Tarrytown. The event raised $515,000, which the Club says will fund programs for the 2,500 kids it serves.

Comedian Kevin Flynn served as Master of Ceremonies. Ursula and Thomas LaMotte of Bedford, longtime board members of the Club, were named Humanitarians of the Year. Club member Jasmin Gonzalez, a senior at Sleepy Hollow High School, received the Youth of the Year Award. “The Club is my second home and the reason for getting up and going to school,” declared Gonzalez, who has volunteered more than 950 hours helping five- and six-year-olds since 2003.
