Forget glazed or jelly, how about Exit 4 Food Hall's spaghetti donuts?
Open at the newly refurbished Boyce Thompson Center is the second location of The Taco Project (1086 N Broadway, Yonkers; 914.375.4000), as well the fifth iteration of Fortina (1086 N Broadway, Yonkers; 914.358.3595).
Chef/owner Isi Albanese at Exit 4 Food Hall (153 Main St, Mount Kisco; 914.241.1200) is up to his inventive food tricks again with his latest spate of offerings: mac ’n’ cheese and spaghetti donuts, Italian skillet fonduta, and a bloomin’ cauliflower.
Bulb lighting and distressed wood is the setting for Katonah Woods Kitchen & Bar (128 Bedford Rd, Katonah; 914.401.9600), a New American restaurant in the space that once housed Oliver’s. On the menu: lobster-and-shrimp risotto, pan-roasted filet mignon, crispy-skin wild salmon, gnocchi Bolognese, and homemade desserts.

Hopscotch has closed, and in its place is Fratelli’s Trattoria (8 Old Post Rd S, Croton-on-Hudson; 914.271.1100). The fine-dining Italian restaurant offers classics such as fettuccine Alfredo, veal Marsala, plus steaks and chops.
American tavern fare is what to expect at The Croton Grille (140 Grand St, Croton-on-Hudson; 914.271.1126), a new, casual eatery in the space where Friend’s Bar was. On the menu: hickory-smoked baby-back ribs, pan-seared Atlantic salmon, shrimp scampi, and a host of sandwiches, including house-made pulled pork.
NOSH! (Temple Israel of Northern Westchester, 31 Glengary Rd, Croton-on-Hudson; 914.271.4705), a celebration of Jewish foods, is scheduled for Nov 5. Adults: $20; Children: $5.
Local craft beers are now offered at Frank Pepe.
New to pair with the amazing pizzas at Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana (1955 Central Ave, Yonkers; 914.961.8282) is a craft-beer menu made up of a who’s who in local brews: cans of 914 Vienna Lager by Yonkers Brewing Co., Banner American Blonde Ale by Bronx Brewery, Nu Skool India Pale by Southern Tier Brewing Co., and Captain Lawrence Brewing Co.’s Effortless Grapefruit IPA. On draft are Yonkers Brewing Co.’s Hop Runner IPA, Bronx Brewery’s American Pale Ale, and Sixpoint Brewery’s The Crisp Pilsner. Frank Pepe and Yonkers Brewing plan to collaborate on a series of food-and-beer tastings.
