Salon D: Dawn Shea DiDomenico's New Salon in Mount Kisco

Dawn Shea DiDomenico thinks it isn’t enough just to offer great salon services—the space itself has to be “an absolutely beautiful atmosphere to be in.” So she has moved her Dawn Shea Salon from Bedford Hills to larger quarters in Mount Kisco (145 Kisco Ave, Mount Kisco 914-666-2226; dawnsheasalon.com) and renamed it Salon D. The 2,000-square-foot space has 20 styling and color stations and evokes a country feel with an interesting mix of industrial elements. “The front desk was made from the back of a camper,” DiDomenico says, “and a chandelier from a castle in England hangs above the color bar.” In addition to hair services, the salon will offer permanent makeup, massages, chemical peels, Botox injections, and fillers.
