Chocolate Chowdown

Gourmet chocolates from Oliver Kita Fine Confections of Rhinebeck, NY

Reptiles as pets may leave you a bit cold. Stamps and coins? Boring! And perhaps you’re not in touch with your inner Henry Rollins to enjoy a sportsman, firearm and knife show. Yet there’s sweet enticement to get to the County Center’s November 7 event—the second annual Chocolate World Expo. After all, who doesn’t like chocolate? One of the largest retail chocolate shows in the nation, the expo will gather more than 50 vendors offering an array of baked goods, ice creams, cheeses, olive oils, barbecue sauces, wines, and of course, chocolate. More than 90 percent of the vendors are based in New York State. Among the county merchants displaying are Greyston Bakery (Yonkers), Chocolations (Mamaroneck), Dina’s Organic Chocolate (Mount Kisco), The Chocolate Box NYC (Scarsdale), Prospero Winery (Pleasantville), and The Melting Pot (White Plains). All-natural, organic, vegan, gluten-free, sugar-free, and kosher foods also will be offered.

Chocolate World Expo
November 7 , 11 am to 6 pm
Westchester County Center, 198 Central Ave, White Plains
$15 (adults), $10 (children 5 to 11), free (kids under 5)
