FeedRainy Season Made for Great Fruits But Lackluster Vegetables at One Somers Farm

Bob Stuart, who has run his family's farm, Stuart's Farm, in Granite Springs since 1972, says the overabundance of rain for nearly four months this year made for an extremely trying growing season.
The farm, made up of about 70 acres, had a wonderful year for its fruit trees - which are mostly comprised of apple trees. However, vegetables like tomatoes, string beans, zucchini, and pumpkins either did poorly or never grew.
