Nestled on the eastern shore of the Hudson River where the Tappan Zee Bridge crosses the river is the historic village of Tarrytown. The picturesque downtown features a number of mom-and-pop shops and an array of dining options. Visitors are often drawn to the antique shops, scenic waterfront, and historical sites. Washington Irving’s iconic home Sunnyside, the breathtaking Lyndhurst, known as America’s finest Gothic Revival mansion and Tarrytown Music Hall built in 1885 are among the most impressive sites in the town. Tarrytown residents enjoy access to the Old Croton Aqueduct Trail, the Third Friday street festival, and farmer’s market.
