Creative Trendz Design Studio
1923 Palmer Ave, Larchmont
(914) 630-7400
Together, decorating duo Christine Farahat and Tina Rodriguez bring more than 30 years of experience to their latest venture, a charming new shop offering interior design services and custom furniture, upholstery, and window treatment. Farahat, also a partner in Pelham’s Gracious Living Design Studio, says she likes to “mix in Old World items with a more traditional or contemporary style.” In addition to fabrics by Fabricut, Stout, and Robert Allen ($28-plus per yard), distressed reproduction furniture, and sea-life-themed boxes and paperweights, the shop offers a selection of very reasonably priced gift items including jewelry, key chains, and notepads. Prices range from $25 for small gifts to $2,500 for a distressed hutch. A big plus? All upholstery and fabric work is done in the shop’s own in-house workroom. Says Farahat, “Nobody can beat our quality or turnaround time.”

Stephanie’s Kloset
1967A Palmer Ave, Larchmont
(914) 834-2144
Stephanie Kole, most recently with the former Lorilyn & Co. children’s shop in Larchmont, has opened Stephanie's Kloset, a fun new boutique targeting trendy tweens and young juniors to fill a shopping void in this little town. Having grown up in the kids’ fashion biz—her grandfather was a clothing manufacturer—Kole has developed an eye for what girls want. You’ll find the latest must-have denim, tops, dresses, and accessories in sizes 7 to 14 from such hot labels as Threads 4 Thought—a sustainable materials line for which her shop has a Westchester exclusive—Lemon specialty T-shirts, BeePosh pajamas and lounge fleecewear ($40 range), Joe’s Jeans ($50 range), and other popular names such as Vintage Havana, T2Love, Sugarlips, and Gwen Stefani’s collection, Harajuku. Prices range from $9 to $100. Check out its luxury sweatpants “dressy enough to wear out to dinner but casual enough to hang around in,” says Kole.
