Pelham Art Center Presents Bloomsday on June 15

Next to St. Patrick’s Day, Bloomsday is the holiday most often associated with celebrating Irish culture. It comes from—who else?—James Joyce, taking place on the same day as the events in his novel Ulysses. But even if you’ve never read Ulysses—it’s more than 260,000 words long, after all—you can still take part. The Pelham Art Center is holding its own Bloomsday celebration on June 15 (a day before the actual holiday). There, you can find free workshops that explore the folk arts of Ireland.
