Tee-rrific!
Thanks for the Golf Guide (May 2010). I tore the entire section out and gave it to my brother, a golf fanatic. He thanks you, too.

Cheever on the Digest
My Recollections: The Condensed Version” by Ben Cheever (May 2010) was a great trip down Memory Lane concerning Reader’s Digest. Survival of newspapers and magazines is becoming more difficult today. Both have to deal with increasing costs for newsprint, delivery, and distribution, along with reduced advertising revenues and declining readership due to competition from the Internet, cable news, and other information sources. In the marketplace of ideas, let us hope there continues to be room for everyone, including Reader’s Digest and our own Westchester Magazine.

Hendrick Hudson High
I’ve just returned from a wonderful event at Hendrick Hudson High School. The Starboard Stars Drama Club presented a “Beatles Bash” during which more than 30 students sang, backed up by an all-student band. The show was directed by three of the high school’s teachers, who are among the many, many dedicated teachers at Hendrick Hudson High School. For these reasons and many more, it makes me sad that the Hendrick Hudson School District is so dismissed in your coverage of Westchester high schools.

Thanks for the Eats
Your magazine is great. I wish I had time to eat at all the restaurants that you mention. Recently, your recommendations took us to Gaudio’s Restaurant, Traveler’s Rest, Heights Inn, Ruth’s Chris, and a few others. All are excellent. My next quest is to get a “Godfather” sandwich at Anthony’s Deli.

Oops: Due to a computer error, the article “County Chain Gang” implied that cyclists want State DOT rumble strips on County two-lane roads installed when, in fact, they want them removed, as they are dangerous to bicycle riders.
