2 NewRo Authors Launch Timely Titles in 2018

New Rochelle has been home to plenty of writers and creators over the years — stroll around Ruby Dee Park, and you’ll read their stories. Two more residents added to the Queen City’s creative legacy recently, launching books from Big Five publishing houses that are set to make a major splash.
One Goal: A Coach, A Team, and the Game that Brought a Divided Town Together by Amy Bass
Dr. Amy Bass is a seasoned, award-winning writer and researcher who teaches history and women’s studies at The College of New Rochelle. Her new book, One Goal, tells the true story of the Lewiston Blue Devils, a high school soccer team that brought a long-segregated Maine town and its newly arrived Somali refugee community together on the soccer field to chase dreams of national glory.
