Westchester’s discriminating diners don’t normally get excited about the opening of a restaurant with a branch in Times Square. But when the ceviche, pollo al ajillo (chicken in garlic sauce), ropa vieja (shredded beef in tomato sauce served with molasses-y rice and beans), and tostones are as savory and delicious as they are at Havana Central at Ridge Hill, we take notice. Besides, ours is only the fourth spot open as of this writing, which makes us pretty special. Add in mojitos, frequent live music, and late dining hours at the 1950s Havana-style spot, and we’re happy to say, “Welcome to the ’burbs.”
