Ardsley resident Shea Gallante, executive chef and co-owner of Ciano in Manhattan, has opened Italian Kitchen (698 Saw Mill River Rd, Ardsley 914-693-5400; ik-ny.com). The 55-seat restaurant offers contemporary Italian cuisine; Chef Paul Mancebo, previously at Ciano and Daniel Boulud’s db Bistro Moderne, will be in the kitchen as chef du cuisine. Entrées such as sole with summer tomatoes and crab and grilled pork medallions cost between $20 and $30; pastas cost $12 to $16. All wines will be under $100

The partners behind Crabtree’s Kittle House (11 Kittle Rd, Chappaqua 914-666-8044; kittlehouse.com) will be opening a second venture this fall in Tarrytown’s Hudson Harbor. The 67,000-square-foot project will include a restaurant, a specialty Hudson Valley foods store, and a wine store

The first Westchester County location of Smashburger (448 Mamaroneck Ave, Mamaroneck; smashburger.com) is set to have opened by presstime. The Denver, CO-based burger chain offers grilled certified Angus ground beef patties, truffle fries, and beer and wine

Scheduled to open before the end of summer is sweets emporium Sherry B Dessert Studio (65 King St, Chappaqua 914-238-8300; sherryb.com)

bartaco (1 Willett Ave, Port Chester 914-937-8226; bartaco.com) is offering takeout Party Packs for five ($75), 10 ($140), 15 ($200), and 25 people ($325). Each pack includes taco fillings and tortillas, guacamole and chips, tamales, quesadillas, sauces, grilled corn, pickled vegetables, and chipotle slaw

Executive Chef/Owner Eric Korn of Good-Life Gourmet (Irvington) is doing a pop-up tapas and wine bar at the Hastings Station Cafe (134 Southside Ave, Hastings-on-Hudson 914-693-3175; hastingsstationcafe.com) Thursday to Saturday evenings from 5 to 11 pm through August. Approximately 10 to 15 Spanish-style tapas will be served each night, costing $4 to $7 each

Chef/Owner Bekir Helvacioglu of Turkish Meze (409 Mount Pleasant Ave, Mamaroneck 914-777-3042; turkishmeze.com) has expanded his menu to include a lamb-feta burger ($8), grilled octopus with a balsamic-fig glaze ($17), seafood salad ($17), steamed orata ($23), and a chicken doner gyro ($15)

Coinciding with the reopening of its patio dining area, The Farmhouse at Bedford Post (954 Old Post Rd, Bedford 914-234-7800; bedfordpostinn.com) has a new small plates grill menu served 5:30 to 10 pm Wednesday to Friday and 3 to 10 pm Saturday and Sunday. Among the selections, most of which cost $6 to $24, are grilled fava beans, house-made flatbreads, and seared hamachi. The regular Farmhouse dining room menu also has additions

Also offering new dishes is Taiim Falafel Shack (598 Warburton Ave, Hastings-on-Hudson 914-478-0006; taiim falafelshack.com). Now on the menu: za’atar pita with labneh cheese and Israeli chopped salad ($10); four new hummus selections ($6, small/$10, large); and Taiim milkshakes using Ronnybrook Farm Dairy ice cream ($5 to $6). Taiim’s hummus selections and baba ghanoush are sold at the Chappaqua, Irvington, and Nyack, New York, farmers’ markets.
