Spa Mantra “We are all about client satisfaction,” says Jennifer Sciarrino, who owns Derma Glow Spa and Boutique in North Salem with her twin sister, JoAnna Kopczyk. “We are very one-on-one,” she adds, making sure everyone who comes here feels special.

Aura The twins’ adorable gem of a day spa has thrived in this relatively remote location since they opened in 2010, with its white paint, country-chic décor and welcoming, “in-the-neighborhood” vibe. Derma Glow encourages this “stop by” sensibility with Walk in Wednesdays and Tuesdays from noon to 6 p.m.

Tech Check Derma Glow maybe be far from any city, but its skin menu is up-to-date. The twins are excited to add the OxyGeneo machine to their list of therapies. Through a handheld device, this apparatus is said to exfoliate and invigorate the skin, drawing oxygen-rich circulation to the surface.

Mind/Body A Healing Touch & Reiki session here is designed to restore harmony and balance, and the Aroma Glow massage incorporates a customized selection of essential oils to soothe the spirit.

About Face Redness, acne, loss of elasticity, winter dullness — whatever challenge you’re facing, Derma Glow has a facial fix. But glow is the key word here. “After all of our facials, you don’t leave red; you don’t leave irritated,” Sciarrino says. “You leave dewy and fresh.”

The Rub North Salem is horse country, and many local equestrians swear by Derma Glow’s deep-tissue and sports massages, which manipulate and stretch overworked muscles and get riders happily back in the saddle. (It’s only fair, as many of the show horses up that way have private masseuses, as well.)
