New Stores: C. Wonder, Green Eileen, Nest Inspired Home

C. Wonder

C. Wonder
125 Westchester Ave, White Plains (914) 289-1500; cwonder.com
For all those who’ve been spending sleepless nights wondering what Chris Burch (Tory’s ex) has been up to recently, here’s the answer: C. Wonder, a home décor and fashion accessories shop that’s heavy on style and color and light on the wallet (unlike his former wife’s offerings). The first Westchester outpost of his four-chain store, C. Wonder offers stylish, well-designed products in a cheerful array of colors with luxurious touches and “details that enhance the every day.” Prices rarely exceed $100 and most offerings—from drinking glasses to an iPad case—can be monogrammed.

Green Eileen
2350 Central Ave, Yonkers (914) 268-0118; greeneileen.org
Irvington’s Eileen Fisher, Inc. has been so successful with its recycling program—its employees and customers have donated more than 20,000 gently worn Eileen Fisher garments since its fall 2009 start—that the company decided to launch Green Eillen, a shop devoted exclusively to its “pre-loved” fashions. You’ll find racks and racks of the timeless tunics, tops, and pants the designer is known for—all freshly cleaned. Proceeds continue to support charitable initiatives for women and girls; to date, $350,000 has been donated. Cleaning out your closet? Receive a $5 recycling reward—good towards future purchases at any Eileen Fisher retail store—for each Eileen Fisher item you bring in.

Nest Inspired Home
20 Purchase St, Rye (914) 921-6378
After spending a decade raising their children, Bets Miller and Wendy Williams, both of Rye, and Aly Drew of Harrison decided to combine their professional backgrounds in sales, marketing, and design to launch this 2,100 square-foot-home décor boutique. “We sell what we love,” Miller says. You’ll find furniture and lighting ($200-$3,500) from Oly Studio; hip, colorful, and fun accessories by Jonathan Adler ($38-$390); and such store exclusives as monogrammed pillows, Lucite and fabric benches, and even original, Cameroonian Juju headdresses for display as wall art ($15-$4,000).
