It’s no surprise the signature appetizer at new Roasted Peppers (320 Mamaroneck Ave, Mamaroneck 914-341-1140) is a roasted pepper, stuffed with ground beef, diced vegetables, and goat cheese. The co-chefs are brothers Juan and Roberto Lepe, both previously at Sam’s of Gedney Way in White Plains. Entrées, from $16 to $25, include red-snapper tacos, pan-seared Nantucket scallops with fire-roasted onion risotto; veal meatloaf with truffle mashed potatoes; and beer-braised beef short ribs. Roasted Peppers is open for lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday and on Sunday for brunch only.

A new six-course dinner is being offered at Edo (140 Midland Ave, Port Chester 914-937-3333). The “After-Eight” special dinner is available Sunday to Thursday from 8 pm (also Friday and Saturday from 9 pm).

Kevin Bertrand, formerly co-executive chef at Crabtree’s Kittle House, is now chef at The Tap House (16 Depot Sq, Tuckahoe 914-337-6941)

Armonk dessert caterer Hollie Levy of Hollie’s Hobbie (914-273-2015) now offers brownies and blondies ($8.95 for a dozen). Purchase them at Village Prime Meats (475 Main St, Armonk 914-273-5222) or her pumpkin bread ($7.95 for a mini-loaf) at Café Norma (387 Main St, Armonk 914-273-4320).
