PrintCheddar Challah

Enrico’s Pastry Shop (200 E Hartsdale Ave, Hartsdale 914-723-0340) may be an Italian-named bakery owned by an Italian, Joe Floriano, serving many Italian sweets, but that doesn’t mean the bakery can’t produce a good challah bread. (The bakery is kosher.) In fact, Floriano’s challah sales have done so well that he decided to expand the line and make flavored challahs including cranberry, chocolate chip, chocolate-chocolate chip, and jalapeño cheddar. The latter may seem unorthodox (pun intended), but it’s our favorite!
